Serro Scotty before work begins. Front view before work begins.
Serro Scotty emblem (very nice quality old school die cast). Cool!! Door, windows, propane rack, jack and all the exterior lights have been removed and now the roof moldings.
Interior photos of opposite the door side. Interior photos of the Gaucho (bed) area, sink and drawers, quit the compact!
Looking from inside out though the side door, at the wardrobe, or pantry. All of the door, windows, lights, molding, and skin have been removed; so far so Good!
Still some skin left to remove, check out the wood! The little one in the background is The Lewis Project. Check out the wood; years of water damage and dry rot.. That is something.
The roof has been removed, Now at least we can stand up there. Here is what is left of the of the bed. That is the old metal fresh water tank. We will replace it with a new one.
Finally here we are down to the frame. Check out the old school white wall tires; I think I might hang those in my new shop as wall art! What do you think? OK! We've made all the wood frames that attach to the frame, all numbered and a drawing so we don't forget were things go.
The frame is primed and painted. Looking Good! Now that all the wood framing is attached to the steel frame, we can test fit some of the old floor for fit.
Here we are decking the floor to the new wood framing. This is the aluminum under belly; this wasn't standard but we like it for our projects.
The wheel wells are in place and the drop down floor that made it so you could stand up in the Serro Scotty's is done. Ken is now preparing to glue up sections of plywood for the side walls (check out the edge of the old wall in the background). WOW!

OK! Well now we have installed the clients flooring. (Very cool flooring by the way)! Till next time when you just might see The Camper Man peering out one of the window… Bye for now!
